John Morris Brewick, 81, of Rapid City passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Rapid City, with Pastor Erin Erickson officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm and then a reception. Burial will be 1:30pm Monday, July 21 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis with full military honors. A memorial has been established for the care of the Wizard of Oz set and other attractions at Storybook Island, 1301 Sheridan Lake Road Rapid City, SD 57702 attention Brewick Memorial. Jim was born in Sioux Falls, SD on February 23, 1944, welcomed by loving parents Madeline and William "Wild Bill” Brix, and adoring sister Sandy.
He was a graduate of Washington High School in Sioux Falls and earned a degree in electrical engineering from South Dakota State University. Jim - or Jimbo as he was affectionately called - was a devoted father to Eric and Andrew Brix; uncle to Scott, Mike, and Mark Hembd, and doting grandfather to Adam and Jayden Brix.

Sandy Feller, 70, of Hatton, ND, formerly of Argyle, MN, passed away early Saturday morning, February 7, 2015 with her family by her side at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
Sandra Marie Brusnighan was born on August 5, 1944 in Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of John "Jack" and Marion Elder) Brusnighan. She was raised in Sioux Falls where she graduated from high school. Sandy went to college and became a registered nurse. On June 19, 1965, Sandy married James Feller. They made their home in Howard, SD and Mount Vernon, SD before moving to Argyle in June of 1978.
