Memories of WHS have faded and then I was a very shy person. After graduation from Augie I moved to Hartford CT to teach at the American School for the Deaf. I then moved after 3  years to St Paul to start a federal program for deaf students at St Paul Tech. I married Bob LaBarre from St Paul. We have 2 sons, one in Fairbanks AK one in St Paul. Three grandchildren, one almost 2, named Alice also. When our oldest son moved to Fairbanks, married and became a father, we too moved there for ten years so that boy would know us. It was an amazing place to live and  I loved even the dark days knowing we would go to Manzanillo each winter. We now live in Roseville in a co-op. We are lucky to now be near the 2 young grandchildren and can be of help to their family. We miss our Alaska family and Alaska's beauty. From those highschool days to now I am grateful for my life and the journey each chapter. For those who gather for the reunion, I hope you recognize one another and have fun. Alice Simonson(LaBarre)
