Sandy Feller, 70, of Hatton, ND, formerly of Argyle, MN, passed away early Saturday morning, February 7, 2015 with her family by her side at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.

Sandra Marie Brusnighan was born on August 5, 1944 in Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of John "Jack" and Marion Elder) Brusnighan. She was raised in Sioux Falls where she graduated from high school. Sandy went to college and became a registered nurse. On June 19, 1965, Sandy married James Feller. They made their home in Howard, SD and Mount Vernon, SD before moving to Argyle in June of 1978. Sandy worked at the Marshall County Group Home for over 25 years. In 2007, Sandy and Jim retired and moved to Golden Lake near Hatton.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, spending time at the lake and campfires. Sandy loved spending time with family and friends and attending all the activities of her children and grandchildren. In spite of a full family, Sandy and Jim found a calling to foster many children over the years.

Sandy was part of what I call the 62/7.  We 7, Mary Borman Munson, Sandi Hoehl Lunde, Joyce Domke Johnson, Nancy Nesthus Hanneman, Sue Fennig Schore, Sandy and me, were a close group of friends from grade school to now.  We had 2 reunions with all 7 of us and many more with 6 of us.  We have wonderful memories of our Jefferson, Edison and Washington years.  I treasure the memories of my first best friend, Sandy.  She will be greatly missed.
