I have enjoyed working with the reunion committee planning this and past reunions.

Tell us about yourself: I graduated from Sioux Falls College with a BS in Business and an MBA from the University of South Dakota. Married Cathy Dreyer(O'Gorman '65) and we have 4 sons. Drafted into the army in 1968 and served two years with Medical Command Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany. This is where I received my real education. Started working for Elmen Enterprise in 1976 and still enjoy it, no plans to retire as of yet. In the summers, I work, play golf, and spend weekends at our lake cabin on Lake Pickerel in northeastern South Dakota. The other three seasons, I work and we travel, especially to see our grandchildren in Kansas City (3) and Phoenix (1).

I graduated from SDSU in 1966 with a BS in Nursing.  I got the nickname of “Marti” during my college years and it has stuck with me. I worked for the SD Health Dept until I married Walt White, a USAF officer from SC in 1967. For the next 44.5 years we had a fantastic life together. He was a Medical Supply Officer and I worked in a small hospital in Denison, TX for the first year. Then he applied for flight school and we were off and running as he became a B-52 pilot, then AC-119 gunship, and  the C-5. We lived in TX, AL, TX, CA, MI, OH (Two cities), TX, SD, Ascension Island in the So Atlantic Ocean, The Bahamas, FL, and finally TN. The people we met and the friends that we made were fabulous. We have 2 beautiful daughters, one terrific 2 year old grandson and a 13 year old delightful step-grandson. We were greatly blessed over the years. Walt died in January, 2012.  I look forward to the 50th class reunion. We had great time with Walt’s classmates in 2010.

Tell us about yourself: Following high school,I attended Augustana College for one year and then moved to Mitchell for LPN training. I married Sid Strange (1961 WSHS) and we moved to Denver where he received his law degree and where our two children, Jennifer and Andrew, were born. Following his graduation, we returned to Sioux Falls, where I worked in his law office. After we divorced, I worked as an LPN, and finally received a degree in Speech Language Pathology in 1991. I then moved to Des Moines, Las Vegas and finally to Medford Oregon in 1996. Since retiring from speech therapy, I continued working as a caregiver and a landscaper on a ranch. I finally gave it up this summer and am now officially retired. Since I moved to the Rogue Valley, it has been my good fortune that both of my children have relocated to this area. I am currently living in Jacksonville, a historic gold mining town.

Comment: After leaving Sioux Falls in 1965 and getting married, I lived in St. Louis, Tonawanda, NY, Dayton, Ohio, and spent over 25 years in Princeton, NJ.  Divorced after 13 years and remarried 10 years later.  After retirement, Elliott and I moved to Solon, Iowa outside of Iowa City.  It was quite a change for us coming from New Jersey but it was like a breath of fresh air.  I was lucky enough to find my dream of a “log cabin in the woods” and once again able to have the rewards of adopting dogs in our lives.

My work life consisted of over 10 years with RCA Astro Electronics and over 10 more years with Rhodia Inc., a French Specialty Chemical Company, both located in New Jersey.

I have two sons both living in Iowa, married and each have 2 children so we’ve been blessed.  We’ve been lucky to be able to attend graduations, marriages, births, basketball, baseball, soccer, aerobics, and dance.   Life is good!

Tell us about yourself: I attended Briar Cliff College (Sioux City, Iowa) and graduated with a BA in Education, English and Art from the University of Arizona. I have been married for 43 years and have three daughters, two grandsons and soon will have two granddaughters. After being out of the work force for 15 years raising my daughters, I was hired by the Girl Scouts to plan and implement the cookie sales in southern Arizona, a position I enjoyed for eight years. For the past 16 years I have been involved in politics - first as an appointed Council Aide to a Tucson City Councilwoman - followed by my current position as an appointed Special Staff Assistant to the Pima County Attorney. During all of these years, I have been actively involved in organizations at the local, state and national levels that create opportunities for women’s growth, leadership, and power; increase women’s participation in the political process; address the changing needs of education; and work to eliminate racism.

Tell us about yourself: I was one of the first girls in our class to get married and Jerry and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary last November. We had four children, 2 girls, 2 boys now ages 51 to 44. We have 10 grandchildren, 8 girls and 2 boys; 1 great granddaughter and will have a great grandson by the time of this reunion. We lived in Sioux Falls until we moved to Colorado in 1970 and now live southeast of Denver, in the country, with lots of yuccas and pine trees and wide open rolling prairies. We built a second home in the mountains in the 70 's and have continued to enlarge it, as the family grew. I worked for Lucent Technologies for 20 years as did my husband Jerry for 39 years and we both retired, in 1999 on, the same day. I wore many hats at work, but ended my working career as the Assistant to the Director of National Data Networking for Lucent Technologies. We have enjoyed a great life in Colorado and we enjoy traveling, boating,rv-ing and being grandparents and being involved in their lives. I took up painting while wintering in Yuma two years ago and am currently writing a series of books on my genealogy. It 's based on my ancestors who came before William Penn and who had bought their land from him, before they came to Pennsylvania.... kind of an Encylopedia of the founding families of Pennsylvania, who they married and how they spread out across the country. In our early years (80 's) we also raised and showed German Shepherd dogs and finished 3 AKC German Shepherd champions and a Schutzhund (tracking/search and rescue dog). I 've been active in the political scene in my county and am not known to be "a quiet person " about politics. I am looking forward to seeing and visiting with all of you at the reunion. You have all had an impact on my life. Even though we have lost some of our dear classmates, they will remain with us always, in our minds and hearts. And, for this time, let 's enjoy those that will be there and who are continuing to enjoy their lives and loves, of the days ahead and the days gone by. We were and still are, a remarkable class of 1962, "WARRIORS", all of us! Click the blank "now picture".

Tell us about yourself: Attended Loretto Heights College 1962-1964 and then moved to Washington D.C. where I worked in the office of Rep. E.Y. Berry. Met and married Jack Wylde, a Georgetown Law graduate and have lived in St. Paul since our marriage. Jack died in January 2000, so there are lonely times, but fortunately my children and grandchildren have kept me busy. I have taken many classes at the U of St Thomas, attempted golf and love my book club buddies!! Not being a computer person, I have no idea how to upload a photo. Sorry about that. All I can say is that I am getting OLD!!! (and I don't mean Orange Letter Day!)
