Comment: I'm sorry to report that Bill has passed away.  Look for more information on the In Memory page.  The comments that Bill made in 2012 are below:

The first three years showed college was not for me, and the draft board was looking over my shoulder, and so I enlisted, with the help of the young lady who was to become my wife. The Army decided to make me a radio dj, which I kinda already was, and send me to West Berlin. I flew back to marry Linda, which was the only way I could get even.

After the Green Machine, I came home to manage the family bus business for 8 years. Then it was back to radio, and ad sales.  Other sales stints at Gateway Computers, Qwest Telephone, and some other fly-by-night call centers.

There were a couple gigs at the Dinner Theater south of town, and a few emceeing jobs Between and during the bus company and other sales jobs.

I attempted to make a fortune manufacturing model trains, and I did make a small fortune.  Out of a larger one.

I have one son, who has one son, in Bellevue, NE. Linda is now down in Omaha, trying to keep her grandson from making her son plumb nuts. It's very close, sometimes.

Looking forward to seeing familiar faces, even though my face is not that familiar to me, It used to have hair on top, and fewer wrinkles.

Tell us about yourself: Graduated from Drake University Jan 1966 - B.S. in Bus Admin. Married Dan McQuillen April 16, 1966, and moved to Ames, IA. When Dan was drafted into the Army 3 months later I moved back to SF for 2 years. After Dan\'s return from Vietnam, we spent 6 months at Ft. Knox, returning to Ames to \"re-start\" our marriage and careers. We have lived in the SW Minneapolis Metro for 38 years. In 1984 Dan founded IPC, a retirement plan admin firm specializing in recordkeeping, compliance and investments for corporations. I joined him in 1985 and recently retired upon selling the business to Lincoln Trust in Denver. We have 3 children - 5 grandchildren. Sadly, we lost our youngest son, Sean, age 34 and father of two little girls, to colon cancer last year. We have become involved in colon cancer awareness through \"Get Your Rear in Gear\" Run/Walk and Dragonfly Project.org. I am currently serving as a foundation trustee of my sorority, Delta Zeta. Besides lots of Nana time with grandchildren, I enjoy golf, gardening and travel.

Tell us about yourself: We moved to Alabama in 2007 after I retired from teaching. We had lived in the St. Louis area for 22 years but chose to move to be near grandchildren. My husband, Stan passed away in 2015, it has been the hardest thing that I have ever had to go through. I spend my summers at Lake Okoboji, my favorite place. Kayaking and being out in nature is my therapy and where I find my happy place. I have a daughter living in Texas and one in Alabama. I have 2 granddaughters and several step grand children. I am very blessed in so many ways.

Tell us about yourself: Married Mary Borman in 1967 and we have three children---see Mary's profile for family update.

Retired after teaching history for 34 years in Wausau, Wisconsin. Those of you who knew me in high school may be as shocked about my being a teacher as was Judy Erickson (Anderson) when she first heard that I had taught for 34 years. I remember her reaction when she heard this, "YOU were a teacher???"

Since retirement, I have worked on and off (more off than on) at the local Barnes and Noble Bookstore. Since I love to read, it has been a perfect fit. In addition to my few hours at B&N, I am a court-appointed guardian for ten people and work as a trustee for a few accounts. My oldest son is an attorney and he "drafted" me to work as a trustee. The guardianships and trustees do keep me busy, but not over-worked nor stressed. I try to keep active with daily walks, daily swims at the Y and occasional golf games in the summer.

Mary and I do enjoy traveling and we look forward to our annual "mini-vacation" for two weeks in Florida (Marco Island) in March. This past year, my brother Dave (Class of 1960) and his wife Linda joined us for a week on Marco in January.

I'm still struggling with the thought of a FIFTY YEAR high school reunion. The good thing is that most of us haven't changed much over the years. Well, hopefully, Terry Comstock (Como!) has changed, but he's the only one I can think of in this category.
