
LEONARD KAUFMAN
1944-07-12 2025-04-24Leonard Milton Kaufman, 80, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Buehler Home in Peoria. He was born July 12, 1944 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to David and Ethel (Hurvitz) Kaufman. He married Donna Cheneler Hixson on November 2, 1995 in Kickapoo.
She survives along with his three children: Jeff (Kim) Kaufman of Redmond, Oregon, Ben (Kathy) Kaufman of Biloxi, Mississippi, Stephanie (LeMoyne) Fletcher of Frederick, Maryland, and seven grandchildren: Kaylee Seymour, Jaden Seymour, Geddy Kaufman, Benjamin Kaufman, Robert Fletcher, Elesebeth Kaufman, and Jacob Kaufman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David Kaufman, and three sisters: Rosalin Berg, Carol Willging, and Kathy Kaufman.
Leonard was a member of Chabad of Peoria and Congregation Agudas Achim in Peoria. He was a United States Marine veteran and was employed as a Sales Manager for Hi-Line Supply for many years.
He was an avid and expert Bridge player. Leonard traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast competing in Bridge tournaments earning the rank of Diamond Life Master. He also enjoyed playing golf.
Leonard's graveside service will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery in West Peoria.
Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Leonard and his family greatly appreciate the excellent care that he received from the Nursing Center staff at Buehler Home where he experienced many acts of kindness and love that will never be forgotten.
