Pat and I were destined to become friends as our parents were friends before we were born.  She was the sister I never had.  We grew up in cradles together as our mothers became Sioux Falls philanthopists and enjoyed their afternoon bridge.  We spent almost every summer weekend together at Lake Madison.  Although we had different interests we were always eager to share and learn from each other's experiences.  When organizing The Lamplighters, an octet for WSHS Homecoming Talent Show, Pat became a "mascot" as our "lamplighter".  She continued to express her creative talents with sewing, bronze sculpting, baking, and writing.  It became a 3 generaional friendship as her 3 children and my 3 children also shared time at the lake together and in the Twin Cities.  Thanks for all the memories, Pat!  We miss you!!
