Funeral services for Robert Iverson age 71 of Mound City will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Robert passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Robert Thomas Iverson (71) was born June 30th 1944 in Sioux Falls South Dakota to Mary Lavonne Larson Iverson and Norman Iverson. Robert grew up on the Iverson Dairy Farm east of Sioux Falls. Robert was active in 4-H, loved to ride horses, and loved to hunt and fish with his Grandpa Larson.

He attended Sioux Falls Washington High School where he graduated in 1962. In February 1965 he married Caroline J Molter in Sioux Falls. They lived in Sioux Falls on the farm until 1973 when they moved to Flandreau, SD and purchased a dairy farm. To this marriage, they raised four children. In 1999 they purchased land with Norman Iverson in Campbell County, SD where he lived out his days on the farm raising hay, cattle, and working in the great outdoors. Robert shared his love of the outdoors with his wife, children, and grandchildren and enjoyed taking them in the pickup to check cattle each and every time they came to visit.

Robert is survived by his wife Caroline of 51 years, son Matt (Sue) Iverson of Mound City, daughter Roberta (Jim) Iverson Giesel of Clear Lake, daughter Lynn (Tyler) Iverson Spomer of Pierre and daughter Jeanne Iverson Thomas of Cheyenne, Wyoming, eight grandchildren, Jamie, Austin, Josh, Mateo, Reagan, Paige, Reese, and Kaycee, brother Ted (Mary) Iverson of Indiana, Bill Iverson of Mound City, and his beloved dogs Blue and Odie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Mary Carol Iverson, and his dog Wrangler.
