CAROLYN MILLS
2023-11-28Posie, What a great friend. We had so much fun together, she loved to laugh and have a good time. She always had a smile on. I can remember one time, my guy was supposed to have picked me up to go to the drag races in Sioux City, instead he went with "his buddies". So Posie and I borrowed my dad's Chrysler and drove as fast as we could, got to Sioux City, drove onto the pit road, and I gave him back his ring, Then we drove back to SF. What a wild day that was! You are gone now, but never to be forgotten my friend. You were one of my "9 Ninnies". Rest in Peace. (Picture of my wedding, Posie Polzin and Linda Ordahl looking at my ring, [Jerry's little sister Carole] Cindy Chaney, Veronica (Roni)Smyrak. Jeannie (Wilma) Thompson, me, Helen Klatt and Carol Gulbranson, ) Oh, and I did get the ring back along with a lot of stuffed animals!
tribute by Dottie (Lease) WitkopCarolyn & I were friends for many years. Among our friends, we called her "Posy." Posy was the kind of friend that even though we did not see each other very often, when we did, it was just like we had never been apart. Her husband, Fred, was in the Air Force so they traveled and moved quite often, but whenever we got together, we had LOTS of fun. I miss you, Posy.
tribute by Cindy Ellenbecker (Chaney)Carolyn and I had a great time during our Longfellow Grade School days. We often went to each other's homes after school and would even meet to walk back after lunch. (We went home for lunch!!) Sad to think of her gone already.
