CAROLYN NELSON
Carolyn was a lovely person who had such a special calm happiness about her. So glad we were friends.
tribute by Cheryl PittengerCarolyn and I were confirmed together at Our Savior's Lutheran and shared a few classes at WHS as well. Occasionally we sat together in the cafeteria for lunch. She was the first diabetic I had ever known and I was sort of fascinated by the condition, how she had to give herself daily shots. Carolyn had many complications with the disease, but bore them all with a quiet grace. And she died from it so young, in her twenties I believe; I remember attending her funeral.
