JANET ADAMS
2023-11-28Janet, we had such good times in Sioux Falls. We were neighbors, good friends, schoolmates and had such fun playing outside with the neighbor kids. I would stop by your house on my way to school and wait for you to finish cleaning your white buck shoes or saddle shoes. We played in the snow. I remember one winter, we had so much snow and your parents were vacationing in Hollywood, FL. When it rained, our street flooded. Your dog (Tippy or Skippy) a black and white dog, was always around you. Your dad started an autum fire in a barrel (leaves, etc.) and we would roast marshmallows. One year, for your birthday, your mom loaded up the car with several of your friends and took us to a movie downtown. I've tried to locate you, but I did not know your married name or where you lived. I will always miss those time, but will remember you always.
tribute by Betty Capps (Hoiland)Wonderful memories date back to JETS (junior highs endeavoring to serve Christ) at First Presbyterian. I'm so glad we were able to celebrate our 60th birthdays together in 2004.
tribute by Carolyn Smith RileyFriends since junior high-became closer throughout years as we shared our faith with one another, and especially during the time of her illness. She was a strong lady who loved the Lord and her family. Can't say enough about her courage and strength as she battled cancer. Deeply missed & dearly admired.
